Professional Services Contracts Manager (Sizewell C)
Civil Works Alliance
Sizewell C

We are looking for a Professional Services Contracts Manager to help drive technical performance and delivery across one of the UK's most complex infrastructure programmes - Sizewell C.

As part of the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), I'm recruiting a Professional Services Contracts (PSC) Manager to lead the performance management of our key technical service suppliers. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a once-in-a-generation project that will generate 3.2GW of low-carbon electricity - enough to power 6 million homes - and will shape the UK's energy future for decades to come.

In this role, you'll work directly with our Professional Services Lead and play a central part in managing high-value packages delivered by both our parent organisations and external technical partners. These include scopes such as Temporary Works Design, Geotechnical Services, Engineering Support, and Instrumentation & Monitoring.

You'll coordinate across design, commercial, technical, and data teams to ensure supplier performance meets programme, quality and assurance expectations. From early visibility of trends to proactive problem-solving, your focus will be on maintaining pace, driving value and delivering results.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing performance metrics and reporting across multiple professional services contracts
Supporting procurement, scope definition and contract mobilisation
Coordinating supplier performance reviews and corrective actions
Driving consistent technical delivery standards across internal and external design teams
Leading the integration of contract performance data (earned value, KPIs, assurance) with wider programme reporting
Contributing to improvements in how we measure, manage and improve delivery outcomes across technical scopes

What we're looking for:

You'll be a qualified engineer or similar with solid experience in engineering or design management - ideally gained within a major infrastructure or complex programme environment. You'll understand what quality technical delivery looks like, and have a track record of managing external service providers against demanding programme, commercial and assurance objectives.

You'll be collaborative, highly organised, and a clear communicator - with the confidence to engage across internal delivery teams and the external supply chain to keep progress on track. A background working with major consultancies and Tier 1 contractors would be a strong advantage.

As part of a delivery organisation bringing together Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke, you'll be part of a world-class team delivering one of the most complex and critical infrastructure projects in the UK.

If you're ready to lead and optimise the performance of technical services at project scale - click the link to apply.

For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK. As a project, we do not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, colour, religion, disability or sexual orientation, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.

Why Join Us?

For more than 60 years, nuclear power stations in the UK have been quietly keeping Britain fuelled with massive amounts of home-grown energy.

Our teams up and down the country are proudly continuing to serve the nation – but they also have an eye on the future.

EDF is leading the UK's nuclear renaissance with the construction of a new nuclear power station at Hinkley Point C and plans for a new power station at Sizewell C in Suffolk.

Nuclear power is the most reliable, low-carbon energy source currently available to the UK. EDF is playing a key role in the development of nuclear sites, while Hinkley Point C will provide low-carbon electricity to meet 7% of the UK demand. The project is already making a positive impact on the local and national economy as well as boosting skills and education.

We’re not just building new nuclear power stations. We’re developing careers, upskilling generations and creating thousands of employment and apprenticeship opportunities across a variety of skills areas.

It takes a special kind of person to work in the nuclear energy industry and although we have thousands of them there’s always a need for more.

Our industry has a mind-boggling range of opportunities and more jobs, and in more places, than you might think. But it’s also an industry which is changing.

We’re a responsible business and proud to be Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity. With size, age and experience, we believe we can do even more.
