Stock Operative | Weston Super Mare

You will be working on a full-timepermanent basis, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • As a Stock Control Operative, you will carry out physical stock checks, counts and on-site investigations to support accurate inventory control across warehouse locations using scan guns and the Warehouse Management System.
  • To ensure that all physical movements and checks are completed in line with operational and safety procedures, maintaining compliance and supporting stock integrity across the contract.
  • Support the Stock Management Operative in maintaining accurate stock levels and the readiness of inventory for operational use.
  • Perform WMS tasks delegated by the Stock Management Operative

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in stock control or warehouse operations, with knowledge of inventory management principles such as FIFO/LIFO and stock reconciliation
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks as part of the recruitment process
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Manhattan preferred but not essential
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands
  • MHE license(s) desirable but not essential as training will be provided
