What is the Hinkley Support Operative Bronze?
The Hinkley Support Operative Bronze training programme is for those interested in working at HPC in General Labourer roles. The programme is also designed to create potential opportunity for future skills and career development through a craft apprenticeship and recognised training routes whilst working on the HPC project.
During Construction, there will be many General Labourer job opportunities with the Mechanical Engineering & HVAC Alliance (MEHA) employers for people who successfully complete the HSO Bronze programme (subject to workforce demand).
On completion of this HPC recognised ‘pre-employment’ training programme (HSO Bronze), you will be guaranteed an interview with the MEHA for a potential job opportunity at HPC.
If you are looking to start a new career in 2025 onwards at Hinkley Point C, this FREE 2-week course includes a guaranteed interview for potential General Labourer roles working within the engineering construction sector.
Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years and will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs, and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy. Construction and operation of Hinkley Point C will create 25,000 employment opportunities and over 1,000 apprenticeships.
The qualifications gained ensure you are compliant to work on site safely within the nuclear sector, and include:
- CCNSG (Client Contractor National Safety Group) Safety Passport
- Manual Handling
- Abrasive Wheels
- Confined Space
