Location: Cwmbran (South Wales) or Wellington (Somerset)

The Role:


As our Health and Safety Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation's health and safety framework, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations and industry best practices. A critical part of this role involves overseeing asbestos management processes, risk assessments, and control procedures across multiple sites. Develop, implement, and review HSE policies and procedures.
Lead on asbestos management planning, audits, and control measures.
Ensure compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other relevant legislation.
Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety inspections.
Deliver health and safety training across teams and promote a proactive safety culture.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage internal/external audits.
Provide expert advice to operational teams and senior management.


Requirements:


NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety.
BOHS P402 (or higher e.g. P405) or relevant asbestos qualifications essential.
In-depth knowledge of UK H&S legislation, especially asbestos-related compliance.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Full UK driving licence (travel to multiple sites will be required).
Proven experience in a senior HSE role relating to Asbestos works.
