Be part of a once-in-a-generation opportunity to shape the future of sustainable energy in the UK. The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is looking for a motivated and results-driven Methods Engineer to join the Sizewell C project within the Main Civils Function.

 

In this role, you'll support the development of optimized construction solutions for complex infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on the transport and energy sectors. Working primarily in the work-winning and pre-construction stages, you'll apply your expertise in construction methods, planning, logistics, temporary works, and project management to help drive project success.

 

You'll collaborate closely with the site team and the wider Methods Engineering Team to shape effective construction methodologies. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within the Technical Services department, offering excellent potential for development and career progression.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Support pre-construction design and methods development into construction delivery.
- Develop construction methodology solutions development in-line with design development.
- Support the development of construction sequencing following Method-led Construction principles.
- Assist with the integration of temporary works design with permanent works design through the application of sound engineering principles.
- Create detailed schedules for the construction methodology options, using support from the wider methods engineering team and technical resources.
- Identify risks associated with the works, support the development of mitigations.

 

Qualifications 

- Progressing towards professional accreditation in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred)

 

Experience 

- Project experience in complex / major complex project environments (at Site Engineer / - Section Engineer level or equivalent)
- Up-to-date knowledge of construction methodologies- 
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry standard safe systems of work
- Understanding of project planning and resourcing
- Comfortable with working in digital models
- Interpersonal and communications skills
