The purpose of the role is to provide support to the SZC SS&A Directorate working closely with the Heads of Departments and wider team, enabling the effective administration, planning, and organisation of the directorate. This is a demanding post requiring excellent communication and organisational skills combined with pro-active approach to the diverse workload.
The role may require irregular PA cover within the department and on occasion to support EA/PA leave or short-term absences.
Principal Accountabilities
• Working as an integral part of a team contributing to team success, communications and a positive working environment
• Provision of SS&A Project Support activities, including:
o Liaise with Finance to ensure invoices are paid etc and maintain (local) cost record.
o Support directorate planning, liaising with individuals to co-ordinate updates and support data input to Integrated Work Schedule (IWS)
o Support maintenance of risk register and co-ordinate updates
o Keep track of governance process, ensuring relevant authors are aware of actions arising from key governance forums and essential project activities, ensuring actions are completed by deadlines
• Support general administrative duties as they arise, including:
o Maintain and build relationships with key contacts and stakeholders, including respond to phone/email enquiries to/ from wide range of external parties etc
o Maintain confidentiality of all commercial and personal information
o Maintain data/records so that information is readily available and easily accessible on Teamcenter, SharePoint and other systems being used by the team
o Managing the flow of commercial processes between the technical functions and the commercial teams
o Take minutes in key directorate meetings, record actions and track to completion
o Effectively use appropriate IT systems to facilitate the preparation of reports, statistics, presentations and other information for the portfolio
o Be responsible for on-boarding of new team members and consultants, including liaising with vetting and induction teams and ensuring IT requirements are met i.e. IT equipment, phones etc.
• Support to the Nuclear Safety Committee acting as either the secretariat or support to the secretariat function.
• Provides other Sizewell C PAs with cover for annual leave and short-term absences

• Use of Outlook or similar diary/email application Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
