NSA Contract Manager - Civils Scope (Sizewell C)

Main Duties:


Contract & Commercial Management


Oversee execution and performance of the NSA contract civils scope
Lead the management of Early Warnings, ensuring risks are understood and mitigated
Manage Compensation Events and Variations in collaboration with the commercial team
Provide scope challenge, cost insight and value assessment for contract changes and additional service requests
Act as the controlling mind and gatekeeper for task orders and scope changes
Escalate issues to senior stakeholders where required


Scope Ownership & Delivery Assurance


Manage end-to-end NSA civils scope as the primary point of contact
Ensure contractor deliverables meet contractual expectations, including:
Replication suitability
Configuration and design rules
Ensure timely provision of inputs, reviews and acceptance of contractor deliverables
Maintain cross-package consistency between engineering integration, delivery programmes and associated contracts


Stakeholder & Relationship Management


Build strong working relationships with engineering integration teams and contractor discipline lea
Act as the trusted contractual counterpart to the NSA Contractor
Coordinate with wider technical, commercial and programme teams on cross-cutting issues
Represent the NSA team in governance, progress and reporting forums
Work closely with programme engineering managers to ensure consistent delivery approach


Reporting & Governance


Track and report key financial, technical and schedule metrics
Capture and manage change requests impacting cost and programme baseline
Contribute to monthly reporting cycles, highlighting risks, issues and performance trends


Requirements:


Project Management qualification (PMI/APM or equivalent)
Chartered or working towards chartership
Continuous improvement mindset
Minimum 5 years' experience working on major infrastructure projects (nuclear experience highly desirable)
Strong contract and technical contract management background
Experience working with complex engineering or design service contracts
Ability to lead cross-functional technical and contractual discussions
Confident operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
Proactive approach to issue resolution and escalation
Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office
Understanding of civil engineering design principles
Familiarity with nuclear standards and EPR-type projects
Commercial awareness of large infrastructure delivery models
Experience supporting pre-tender and tender stages
