Cost Efficiency & Avoidance Lead (Sizewell C)

Job Responsibilities 


* Lead the development, implementation, and governance of the Cost Efficiency & Avoidance framework.
* Establish the processes, systems, reporting mechanisms, and controls required to identify, quantify, monitor, and report savings opportunities.
* Facilitate workshops and assurance reviews with multidisciplinary teams to identify and validate efficiency opportunities.
* Drive the adoption of CE&A principles through training, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Interface with Cost Management, Risk & Opportunity, Finance, HR, and Delivery teams to align efficiency activities with existing programme processes.
* Track and report performance against annual and lifecycle savings targets.
* Promote a culture of proactive cost management and value optimisation across the programme and supply chain.
* Support industry-leading project controls practices through knowledge sharing and lessons learned.


Qualifications 


* Understanding of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts.
* Professional accreditation through APM, PMI, AACE, or similar.
* Chartered status or working towards chartership.


Experience 


* Proven experience delivering within large-scale infrastructure, engineering, construction, energy, transport, utilities, or defence programmes.
* Strong background in Project Controls, Cost Management, Estimating, Project Management, Commercial Management, or Continuous Improvement.
* Experience implementing governance frameworks, procedures, and reporting systems within complex project environments.
* Demonstrable workshop facilitation and stakeholder management experience.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
* Ability to engage confidently with senior leadership and delivery teams.
