3D Tools Engineer (Sizewell C)

Location: Bristol, with travel to our London office and the Sizewell C site in Suffolk.
Employment type: Permanent full-time/ part-time.
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full-time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

As a 3D Tools Engineer, you’ll work alongside the 3D Tools Lead to drive the digital backbone of the Sizewell C Project. You’ll create, manage and maintain high-quality, integrated 3D models that bring together structural, architectural, and MEH (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) disciplines into a single, cohesive digital environment.
The Role
In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing detailed 3D models that serve as the foundation for design, coordination and construction. You will integrate models across multiple disciplines to ensure alignment with project goals and technical standards.
You’ll also support the Common Data Environment (CDE) and/or Collaboration Platform, ensuring seamless collaboration and data integrity across teams, and oversee BIM documentation to maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
This isn’t just about modelling—it’s about shaping the future. Our Sizewell C Project is one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure ventures. Your work will be central to how teams visualise, coordinate and deliver one of the most complex engineering projects in the UK. You’ll be a key player in ensuring that digital tools empower smarter, faster and more sustainable construction.
Skills
A degree in a Science or Engineering discipline, or equivalent engineering experience.
Experience working in a relevant engineering function.
Strong background in data management, including version control, document approval workflows and adherence to BIM standards (e.g. ISO 19650).
Proficient in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, or similar.
Hands-on experience in 3D modelling, clash detection, and visualisation.
Practical experience in 3D design and Building Information Management (BIM) environments.
Ability to understand complex problems and critically evaluate proposed solutions.
Familiarity with the full design and delivery lifecycle.
Self-motivated and comfortable working in ambiguous or evolving project environments.
