We have an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the UK's energy future. As part of the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), we're supporting the construction of Sizewell C, a state-of-the-art nuclear power station that will provide low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes for at least 60 years.


We're seeking a Health and Safety Lead to guide our team of HSW professionals and ensure the safe delivery of work across the enabling and earthworks element of this project.

What will you be doing?


Communicating and implementing the HSW strategy.
Building solid relationships with stakeholders and delivering on customer strategic and tactical requirements.
Leading and managing the HSW team, including supporting the Performance Development Review (PDR) process.
Undertaking Health and Safety compliance evaluations, tours, and audits.
Identifying and ranking risk associated with CWA work activities.
Preparing fact-driven reports following inspections, tours, audits, and investigations.
Supporting the implementation of and ensuring compliance with the Sizewell C (SZC) project standards and the CWA Safety Management System (SMS).
 

What do you need to succeed?


Proven experience in leading and managing teams.
Detailed, technical knowledge and experience in Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and guidance.
Experience of working on Major Infrastructure Projects.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (or working towards).
NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
