Job Responsibilities:


- Work will be executed via the management of allotted tasks using existing construction methodologies, process and procedures to work in line with existing Business Operating Procedures (BOPs). 
- Competence will be demonstrated through coordination of standardised and structured construction work packages, as assigned by a more senior member of the construction team, using existing procedures to ensure packages are correct / compliant and to standard regulations.
- Work can be executed independently or as part of a team, though all work is subject to review and approval by a more senior member of the construction team.
- The role holder will demonstrate relevant industry experience and an established knowledge of standard principles, theories and practices for construction work, as well as a good working knowledge of the wider engineering construction industry that Altrad Babcock operates in.
- Monitor construction activity to ensure that work pack tasks are achieved in line with Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) within pre-defined safety, quality, schedule and cost standards. 
- Coordinate relevant documentation (e.g. work instructions, RAMS., installation sequencing) to build, maintain and report accurate event profiles (e.g. cost, resource and schedule Monitor construction activity to ensure that work pack tasks are achieved in line with Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) within pre-defined safety, quality, schedule and cost standards. 
- Coordinate relevant documentation (e.g. work instructions, RAMS., installation sequencing) to build, maintain and report accurate event profiles (e.g. cost, resource and schedule forecasts).
- Comply with national laws/regulations and adhere to the Construction Management Process including company-wide & functional BOPs and WIs to act in line with standardised working practices. 
- Support the implementation of key safety/quality communications and critical task protocols (e.g. error prevention tools), to ensure that all site activity is conducted in line with company/customer standards.
- Look for opportunities for improvement, new initiatives. as well as contributing to project reviews/lessons learned in order to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with all team members to ensure the achievement of safety, quality, schedule and cost standards.
- Build and maintain an internal and external (customer, contract partner and supplier) relationship network in order to sustain performance against safety, quality, schedule and cost standards.
- Contribute to decision making

Qualifications:


- Time Served Apprentice / NVQ level 2 /C&G    
- ECITB SMTDS / NVQ Level 3 or 4 ACE
- ONC/HNC/HND in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil & Structure, or significant or related experience.
- Professional Member of Institution
- CCNSG Safety Passport Training / IOSH Managing Safety Certificate


Experience: 


- Knowledge and of Construction Management Process (CMP) Service Delivery Process (SDP) associated documentation.
- Knowledge and understanding of problem solving and risk.
- Good working knowledge of Altrad Babcock's operating context and the wider engineering construction industry.
- Extensive experience of minimum safety documentation requirements including risk assessments, method statements COSHH assessments and specialised activities.
