Salary: £64,529.00PA

Fixed Term - 12 months 

 

What will you be doing?

  • You'll take the lead role in a gang (or of a number of people working remotely from each other) and ensures that the briefed safe system of work is followed.
  • You'll ensure documentation is understood and signed prior to starting work including Briefings, RAMS and Permits.
  • Be responsible for constructing works to the required standards and delivering within program
  • Ensuring the briefed safe system of work is followed.
  • We'll ask you to lead by example, and drive the correct behaviours amongst the teams working out on site.
  • You'll ensure work areas are tidy and secure, ensure any visitors to a defined work area are briefed on the current risks and hazards.
  • You'll ensure quality standards are maintained, hold points in ITPs are adhered to and quality issues are raised.
  • In this role it is vital you ensure the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across the service, adhering to the M Group & NNB health and safety policy & environmental policy and actively supporting the Behavioural Safety culture that is an integral part of the MGroup working environment and the Zero Harm initiative at HPC.
  • We'll ask you to complete of HSE Inspections. Additional responsibilities are in accordance with the RACI Matrix.


Qualifications 

  • Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
  • Supervisors (CITB)
  • ILM Level 3 Award C&BE

 

What you'll bring;

  • Civils ground works experience (drainage, highways, structures) 
  • Previous experience working in a similar role with experience in the use of plant to include (Excavators, Breakers, Rollers, Compactors, Saws)
  • Clean driving licence
  • HGV Licence (Advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to understand work pack documentation including plans and drawings
  • Self - motivated with organization and leadership skills.
