Welding Technical Coordinator  (QAS20022/ QAS40012 / 13 / 14/ QAS40027)

Accountabilities:    
1.    Operate the site Welding Quality Management System.
2.    To provide administration and support services to the MEH Welding & QA-QC Department.


Key Deliverables:    
1.    Operate and administer the MEH selected Welding Management System for the project / contract site operations.
o    Generate site specific weld process control cards (WPCC).
o    Create Work Orders (generate WPCC/Post Weld Heat Treatment & Non-Destructive Testing requests)
o    Feedback and maintain results and records for welding operations. 
2.    Maintain welding records, including document registers and dashboards.
3.    Maintain work files containing the necessary documentation and records.
4.    Interact with all other departments associated with welding operations.
5.    Assist with analysis of welding data and KPI’s.


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 
(in line with MEH Onboarding matrix)

1.    NVQ 2 or Equivalent
2.    CITB HS&E Test


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:    
1.    Proven track record in a technical administrative role on projects in the nuclear or similarly regulated sector, including major EPC projects.
2.    Basic knowledge of welding related activities, inspections and quality control.
3.    A positive ‘can do’ mentality.
4.    Demonstrates strong communication skills, liaising effectively with peers, team members and other functions.
5.    Able to demonstrate accountability for their own actions and take responsibility.


Area/Building
Base location is Hinkley Point ‘C’ Nuclear New Build construction site, Somerset.
