Job Responsibilities

    To assist construction craft workers with a variety of welding tasks.                                                             
    Continuously inspect the designated work area for any potential fire risks, ensuring that conditions remain safe during and after work activities.                                               
    To establish and manage a Welding Consumables Compound to streamline storage and distribution.
    To carry and replace drying ovens with filled units (consumables, electrodes, etc.)
    Verify that climate conditions measures, and clear access to emergency exits, are in place and functional.
    To carry tools, Drying oven, Quivers, welding machines, consumables and materials or help set up equipment. 
    Transport dedicated tools, drying ovens, quivers, welding machines, and consumables to work areas.
    Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records.
    Shall ensure that a "zero harm" approach is taken in relation to all his acts and omissions in relation to the services and the project. Acknowledges that due to the nature of the project, nuclear safety and security are of paramount importance.
    Record findings from fire watch patrols and inspections, reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
    Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and site-specific requirements to maintain a secure work environment.
    Ensure proper care, protection, and storage of welding consumables, maintenance products, tools, and equipment.
    Agrees to comply with any rule, instruction or requirement of the Company in relation to the services which the company determines, in his sole and absolute discretion, is necessary in order for the company to comply with his obligations under the nuclear site license.
    Housekeeping of the work areas and the related areas which is assigned by supervisor; collection, segregation and disposal of wastes as required; removal of unused materials and clear the work floors to eliminate/reduce slipping or tripping risks in your work area.
    Safe use, protection, storage and care of general maintenance products, welding consumables, hand and power tools


Qualifications

    NVQ Level 3 in Welding & Fabrication
    Hold or Can achieve CCNSG Safety Passport


Experience

    Have minimum 2 years of work experience.
