Ledwood are currently recruiting for experienced Welders.
These positions form part of our work within the Arabelle steam turbine buildings, where we are installing equipment ranging from small 2Te pumps to a 2,440Te condenser. All applicants must meet strict competency, safety, and security requirements.
We are recruiting qualified MMA / MIG Welders with TIG experience. Candidates must be able to achieve the appropriate codings and meet ISO welding standards.
Candidates should be qualified to ISO standards, including but not limited to:
Butt weld - 2" carbon steel pipe - 6G Position (TIG/MMA)
Fillet weld - 2" carbon steel pipe to plate - horizontal position (TIG/MMA/MIG)
2" stainless steel pipe weld - 6G Position (TIG/MMA)
Before employment, you will be required to:
Complete a weld test (locations available in Pembrokeshire and Teesside)
Complete an additional weld test and exam at Bridgwater College
Attend a short video interview
Basic Requirements for all positions:
Valid CCNSG Safety Passport is mandatory
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or Apprenticeship qualification required
All personnel will also complete an onsite Medical for Safety critical works, working at height and confined spaces. Additional training for working at height / confined spaces will also be provided.
Project Specifics
Start Date: Throughout March & April 2026 (Start dates will be dependent on gaining your Site Clearance)
Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset
Hours: 10 hours per day, 10 days on 4 days off
£29.34 basic rate ph + potential £2.94 Bonus
(Overtime after 38 hours)
(Rate above Based on Grade 5 ECSA Site Agreement)
(PAYE weekly paid ONLY)
Lodge allowance £50.81 per night and or Travel Allowances are payable (All rates/ allowances are in line with the ECSA Site Agreement)
