Warehouse Operative

Opportunity for a Warehouse Operative working with Framatome on the Hinkley Point C Project,
Main Duties:
• Receive, unload, and check incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Inspect and verify received goods against purchase orders or invoices
• Sort and store merchandise in designated areas in an organized manner
• Label and tag items, ensuring accurate tracking and identification
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items
• Use manual and automated equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move and transport goods within the warehouse
• Maintain inventory and stock records, including accurately updating computer systems or paperwork
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies
• Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and annual inventories
• Ensure proper packaging and crating of items to prevent damage during transportation
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals and meet customer demands
• Communicate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and transport companies as needed
• Care and maintenance of stored items
Qualifications/Experience:
• Full Driving License
• CCNSG
• Forklift Certification
• Counter Balance Certification
• Proven work experience as a warehouse operative or similar role
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, equipment, and best practices
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
