As a Pipefitter Apprentice, you will:

  • Work with various materials (such as carbon, stainless, and duplex steels).
  • Shape and profile pipes and components using relevant equipment.
  • Prepare and fit piping systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with pipe welders across the wider business on various projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Receive specific training tailored to nuclear industry requirements.
  • Receive training on accident and first aid, manual handling techniques, and working in potentially hazardous environments.

 

What you’ll need to apply:
At least five GCSEs (including English and Maths) at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.

 

Starting Salary:
£16,855


Duration of Apprenticeship:
3 – 5 years
