Opportunity for a Training Instructor working with Mactech on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Main Duties:

 

  • Complete Fleet Certified Instructor (FCI) training within 2 years
  • Develop and deliver Safety Case training materials and content
  • Deliver training in classroom and plant simulator environments
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to expedite trainee learning
  • Act as course coordinator for responsible training areas
  • Lead and deliver training to groups of 1-20 people
  • Serve as subject matter expert with deep understanding of company standards
  • Ensure company values, safety and operational experience are embedded in training materials
  • Maintain relationships within the nuclear family and with Subject Matter Experts
  • Communicate with external contractors for training support services
  • Contribute to NSA business plans and company organizational goals


Required Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • HNC or Higher-level qualification in a relevant technical subject
  • Experience in Mechanical, Electrical or I&C related engineering/maintenance disciplines
  • Power Generation experience desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Teaching/training qualification desirable
  • Good understanding of nuclear power plant systems and operations preferred

  • Ability to apply and adapt to latest technology
  • Strong mentoring and influencing skills
  • Problem-solving capabilities for technical issues
  • Experience in customer and stakeholder relations
  • Knowledge of modern learning methods and media
  • Mobility to deliver training away from base location
