Training Instructor

Opportunity for a Training Instructor working with Mactech on the Hinkley Point C Project,
Main Duties:
- Complete Fleet Certified Instructor (FCI) training within 2 years
- Develop and deliver Safety Case training materials and content
- Deliver training in classroom and plant simulator environments
- Provide coaching and mentoring to expedite trainee learning
- Act as course coordinator for responsible training areas
- Lead and deliver training to groups of 1-20 people
- Serve as subject matter expert with deep understanding of company standards
- Ensure company values, safety and operational experience are embedded in training materials
- Maintain relationships within the nuclear family and with Subject Matter Experts
- Communicate with external contractors for training support services
- Contribute to NSA business plans and company organizational goals
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- HNC or Higher-level qualification in a relevant technical subject
- Experience in Mechanical, Electrical or I&C related engineering/maintenance disciplines
- Power Generation experience desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Teaching/training qualification desirable
- Good understanding of nuclear power plant systems and operations preferred
Essential Skills:
- Ability to apply and adapt to latest technology
- Strong mentoring and influencing skills
- Problem-solving capabilities for technical issues
- Experience in customer and stakeholder relations
- Knowledge of modern learning methods and media
- Mobility to deliver training away from base location
