Technical Clerk Support (CON30098)
The MEH Alliance - Altrad 
Hinkley Point C 


Accountabilities:    
1.    Demonstrate a positive strong Nuclear Safety Culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. 
2.    Produce Documents Right First Time.
3.    Create Construction Work Packs (CWP) in Switch.
4.    Liaise with Document Control for Document Numbers.
5.    Attach Third Party Documents to MEH Templates.


Key Deliverables:    
1.    Develop comprehensive documentation that meets contractual requirements and standards.
2.    Develop a deep understanding of the MEHA scope to enable compilation of contract deliverables into suitable documentation to support the construction management system needs.
3.    Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience and sets the MEHA up for success.
4.    Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.
5.    Develop a periodic review register to ensure all documents are maintained in accordance with contract requirements.
6.    Constantly evaluate the content of documents and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
7.    Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various teams to understand project requirements.
8.    Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop,          organise, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
9.    Work with the leads to identify suitable documentation repositories to enable easy and efficient access by the team when required.
10.    Work with the leads to revise and edit documents and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralised storage.
11.    Research, create and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organisational standards, and allow for easy access.
12.    Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive message across all documentation.
13.    Assist with the creation of Construction Work Packs in the Switch system.
14.    Creation of RFI’s/NCR’s/FCR’s


Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 
(in line with MEH Onboarding matrix)    
1.    Qualifications

•    HNC/HND in relevant technical field.
•    IOSH Managing Safely preferred
•    CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport
•    Capable of obtaining security clearance of BPSS


2.    Experience
•    2-4 years' industry experience as an effective technical writer within a major infrastructure project-based environment.
•    Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics. 
•    Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
•    Experience of working with engineering to improve the user experience (design and user interface), to help refine content and to create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
•    Extensive experience of using Microsoft Office suite of programmes.


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:    
1.    Positive, can-do mentality 
2.    Self-motivated, setting the right behaviours. 
3.    Strong communication skills. 
4.    Can demonstrate previous record of success in their discipline. 
5.    A clear communicator, with clarity and positivity.
