Opportunity for a Technical Assistant working with Bilfinger UK Ltd on the Hinkley Project,


Bilfinger UK are currently recruiting for an Technical Assistant to support our NDT operations on Hinkley Point.  This role offers an exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunity to be an integral part of Bilfinger UK's, growing team on Hinkley Point C, contributing to the future of the UK's nuclear new build sector.


Rotation: Monday to Friday


Main Purpose

 

  • The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Administrator on all matters relating to the administration of the contract deliverables. The Technical Administrator will be required to support the team in all aspects of project administration.


Main Responsibilities

 

  • Assisting with all documentation in accordance with document control procedures and ensuring all documentation is up to date within the BUK and client systems.
  • Working in line with the company safety and quality standards
  • Assisting in the filing of reports and digital documents.
  • Uploading reports/documents into pre-defined document systems.
  • Monitoring, downloading and dissemination of newly A-coded and B-coded documents.
  • QA/QC check of documents required in accordance with BUK procedures.
  • Data entry into company reports register.
  • Processing of transmittal documentation.
  • Archiving and storage of radiographs to the client procedures.
  • General office administration duties, assisting with meeting and appointments bookings.
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the position holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager and Technical Administrator from time to time.


Qualification/Experience:

 

  • CCNSG Safety Passport - Desirable, if not will be provided to successful applicant
  • Previously held an administrative role
  • Team Centre knowledge an advantage
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams on site
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, work under pressure and meet client deadlines
  • Problem solver
  • Professional, approachable, pro-active and be a good organiser
  • Possess a high level of integrity and confidentiality
