Surveyor Apprentice
MEH Alliance
The Survey Apprentice supports the delivery of surveying services while undertaking structured training and development to build technical knowledge, practical skills, and industry experience. Working under the supervision of experienced survey professionals, the apprentice assists with field data collection, survey processing, equipment maintenance, and project delivery while progressing towards recognised qualifications and competency standards.
Accountabilities:
Survey Operations Support
• Assist survey teams with the preparation and execution of site-based survey activities.
• Support the collection of topographical, engineering, utility, and measured building survey data.
• Help establish survey control points and assist with setting out activities under supervision.
• Assist with data processing, checking, and preparation of survey deliverables.
Equipment and Technology
• Operate survey equipment safely and correctly under supervision.
• Assist with the maintenance, calibration, and safe storage of survey equipment.
• Learn the application of GNSS, total stations, laser scanning, UAVs, and survey software.
• Report any equipment faults or issues promptly.
Health, Safety and Compliance
• Comply with all company health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Participate in site briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessment processes.
• Maintain a safe working environment for themselves and others.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and consistently.
Learning and Development

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience
