Strategic Plant & Equipment Manager

Job Responsibilities

 

•    Being the main point of contact for all Plant and Equipment related activity.
•    Defining the operational delivery of the agreed Plant & Equipment strategy for the project 
•    Establishing stakeholder meetings to gain clarification of the volumes of plant and equipment required to support installation activities for each Works Task Order
•    Providing a recommendation on the Buy/Hire analysis for each category of asset.
•    Establishing the viability, location and mobilisation of an on-site storage and maintenance facility
•    Development and agreement of the optimum wrap around systems support so that all assets, whether client owned or hired from MEH JV Partners, are controlled, and managed from a safety compliance / calibration / testing / repairs and maintenance perspective
•    Managing this team that will oversee project delivery and coordination with HPC stakeholders to ensure maximum efficiency and utilisation of all Plant & Equipment assets
•    Maintain relationships with the wider MEH Alliance Community, aligning the agreed MEHJV Plant equipment Strategy with the wider project team.
•    Align the Plant and equipment supply chain to meet the strategy
•    Legal and financial compliance on the operation of all Plant and Equipment

 


Qualifications/Experience

 

•    A good general understanding of Mechanical and Electrical plant & Equipment
•    Can demonstrate a structured approach to Project Management
•    Experience of managing numerous stakeholders
•    Experience of working with project teams in the development of proposals
•    Experience in large project environments
•    Experience in either MEP contracting or the plant and equipment Industry.
•    Experience in managing a large stakeholder community
•    Confident and effective at communicating with Senior leadership, OEM's, Supply chain partners and all levels of site personnel
•    Confident, articulate and effective at communicating with all stakeholders
•    Can identify areas for improvement and communicate them with teams
•    Will contribute to meetings and consistently deliver all actions assigned
•    Excellent time management and an ability to manage multiple projects
•    Must be self-motivated and invest energy into improving the business
•    Will lead by example at all times in relation to safety
