Due to our ongoing growth, we are looking to recruit a Working Warehouse Supervisor/ Stores Supervisor (Blue Hat) to join our team at HPC. 


The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the planning, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.


Key responsibilities will include: 


Receipt of Material:

 

  • Liaise with the Framatome back-office supply chain/logistics department and the HPC logistics team to anticipate deliveries on site,
  • Coordinate all on site deliveries,
  • Perform or coordinate appropriate actions and controls when receiving deliveries,
  • Report and trace any non-conformance upon receipt of goods/deliveries.


Storage of Material:

 

  • Perform or coordinate appropriate check-in/check-out of goods and material with appropriate tools or database, in order to maintain a proper inventory.
  • Organise the storage of all Framatome goods and materials in the available warehouses or storage areas,
  • Organise the packing, unpacking or repacking of material according to appropriate procedures,
  • Perform or coordinate the care & maintenance of material according to procedures and documentation,


Storage areas:

 

  • Maintain warehouses and storage areas regarding security, access, maintenance, cleanliness level, housekeeping,
  • Maintain maintenance and periodic inspection of associated tools and equipment (firefighting equipment, forklift, lifting equipment, air conditioning, ventilation, filters…),


Supervision:

 

  • Supervise the Warehouse and Material Team.


Warehouse and Material Organisation Setup:

 

  • Understand and update existing procedures and create all necessary procedures and organisation to fulfil Framatome requirements regarding material control and storage.


Detailed QHSE responsibilities: 

 

  • Never instruct work to be carried out without first ensuring that means will be in place to guarantee that the work can be done in a safe and compliant manner. 
  • Be suitably familiar with the contents of Framatome UK HSE Plan to be able to ensure that they are fully complied with, including but not limited to:
  • Attend any HSE training, meetings, etc. as requested. 
  • Attend, participate in and periodically lead Toolbox Talks.
  • Ensure that workers have undergone sufficient HSE training to comply with the project HSE training requirements and be able to carry out all works safely.
  • Ensure that tools, equipment and materials brought into and used in the area are fully compliant with HSE requirements. 
  • Ensure that no work is carried out unless supported by the relevant specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Work Permits. 
  • Ensure that all incidents and near misses are reported, as per procedure.
  • Ensure that disciplinary matters are reported, quickly and accurately. 


To be considered, we require the following skills and experience:

 

  • Previous experience of MS Office,
  • Experience of working on Large Construction projects.
  • Excellent supervision style - encouraging, inspiring and enabling the team around you to be the very best they can be.
  • Have an understanding of computer and warehouse management systems,
  • Excellent relationship building skills,
  • Valid Full Driving License,
  • Extensive experience of health and Safety in a warehousing environment,
  • Experienced Forklift Driver / Overhead Travelling Crane Driver / Rigger,
  • Basic mechanical and electrical storage knowledge.


Technical Skills

 

  • Experience of supervising 
  • Knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations in particular Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
  • MS Office & Outlook, Warehouse management system.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries
  • Experience in Nuclear would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrably proactive, self-driven and assertive. 
  • High levels of influence and strong leadership capability. 
  • Experience of working within multinational teams would be of benefit.


We are paying an hourly rate of £26.15 per hour (based on a 38 hour per week) – Under ECSA agreement. Overtime is available.
