Severfield Group acquired Harry Peers Steelwork in 2019 and DAM Structures in 2021.  
Peers specialise in the Project Management, Design, Fabrication, and Erection of Structural Steelwork Contracts within the Petrochemical, Process, Pharmaceutical, and Nuclear Industries.
DAM Structures Limited is a Yorkshire-based innovative steel fabrication company offering a comprehensive design, manufacture, and erection service for the construction industry.


Main duties : 

 

  • To erect steel via direction from the foreman. 
  • Ensure they have a knowledge and understanding of relevant company procedures and implement them on site.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment is checked and relevant check sheets completed prior to use.
  • Ensure compliance with site working hours and shift patterns including adhering to break times. 
  • Ensure use of Donseed System.
  • Ensure they are appropriately trained for all tasks they have been asked to carry out.
  • Work as part of a team with emphasis on suitable behaviour, squad morale and productivity,
  • Ensuring all plant equipment/PPE being used by them has been checked with the relevant documentation completed prior to use and is fit for purpose.  Report any damage to Foreman and/or site management with immediate effect.
  • Work with your squad to overcome work challenges so that programmed works can be completed on time


Qualificatons/Experience : 


One of the following -

 

  • ECITB Diploma in:
    • - Erecting Engineering Construction Capital Plant Steel Structures
    • - Engineering Construction Lifting, Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant and Equipment 
  • ECITB Skills Test Alternative / Skills Test Number: TER03 or TER04 
  • ACE Card 
  • CSCS Gold Card for Steel Erector Level 3 Diploma Advanced Craftsman
  • Would be good to have CPCS Telescopic Handler A17C


Experience :

 

  • Minimum 2 years' experience
