The Opportunity
 

Site Services Delivery Lead, Hinkley Point C, Competitive Salary & Benefits


EDF Energy has an exciting new opportunity available for a Site Services Delivery Lead to join our team at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. We are offering an opportunity to provide the day to day management of the delivery including a selection of facilities service contracts at the HPC construction site and its associated developments. Facilities service contracts include Reprographics, Occupational Health, Fuel Services and Fire & Rescue Services and other services as requested to support HPC and its contractors. The services will be provided at the HPC site including office and ancillary buildings as well as other various associated developments locations.
 

The role holder will be responsible for developing, reviewing and amending policies and procedures that underpin strategy within their work area, and may also be called upon to help prepare detailed specifications, in support of the procurement process. The HPC project is likely to be the largest infrastructure project in Europe for the foreseeable future, site operations activities tend to be dynamic and fast paced with only key deliverables appearing on an integrated work schedule.
 

Your day to day duties include:

 

  • Consistently applying the HPC Values of clarity, respect, positivity, humility and integrity
  • Manage and be directly responsible for 4 specific service contracts valued at circa £28m
  • Be accountable for ensuring all statutory, regulatory and site controls are complied with
  • Manage day to day provision of a critical site support service to a construction workforce of circa 5,600
     

The Person
 

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual that will lead and prioritise plan's effectively, preparing contingencies to ensure delivery across the business. The preferred candidate will be confident in there own abilities and be able to deliver in a dynamic environment. To be appointed in the role you will demonstrate the ability to work transparently, openly sharing information on progress and projects. Duties will include regularly monitoring plans, objectives & critical success factors. 
 

As a Delivery Lead you will:

 

  • Prioritise and plan effectively, preparing contingencies to ensure delivery.
  • Ensure that teams are aligned and engaged to deliver plans to achieve EDF Energy’s vision and ambitions.
  • Frequently identifiy opportunities to improve top line and/or bottom line performance for their department.
  • Implement commercial thinking & initiatives that have a measurable impact on their department’s performance.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds the expectations and project work schedule.
  • Ensure early intervention to avoid any escalation of issues affecting service delivery by working in the spirit of a ‘one team approach’


The Skills
 

The successful candidate will have proven experience within a large project environment and a willingness to learn from successes is essential.
 

Essential

 

  • Recent and relevant In-depth knowledge and experience in a Service Contract supply environment.
  • Management [or leadership] experience in a service lead environment.
  • Experience of working in a high security environment.
  • Must be confident in own abilities and be able to deliver in a dynamic environment. 
  • Willingness to learn from both successes and failures.
  • Proven experience within a large project environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to strike up effective working relationships.
  • Must be willing to work with our local supply chain partners in a cooperative way.
     

Desirable

 

  • Degree Level or Equivalent Qualification in a related subject.
  • Experience of working with and developing budgets.
  • Recognised and certificated ‘Behavioural Safety Programme’.
  • Recent IOSH accreditation [or equivalent].
