Site Security Advisor

The MEH Alliance - NG Bailey 

Hinkley Point C 

 

 

We have a new opportunity for a Security Advisor to join us on the MEH Alliance, working on the Hinkley Point C construction project. The main purpose of the role is to work with the Security Lead to identify vulnerabilities in the physical security of the site and implement solutions to ensure the security of the plant, materials and buildings of the MEH Alliance.

 

Responsibilities:

Support the MEH Alliance Security Lead in performing continuous assurance activities within MEH Alliance areas to ensure compliance with agreed defined security standards, Identifying and tracking all non-conformances, and advising on improvement plans to reach defined standards. 
Identification, creation, maintenance, and continuous development of supporting and required security risk management documentation, as well as its successful communication to stakeholders, as directed by the MEH Alliance Security Lead.  
Providing assessments and mapping of impact and consequence of security risk, against business and operational output required to deliver the MEH Alliance Programme. 
Support the delivery of evidence for security assurances to enable progression of MEH Programme control-gates, and milestone advancement. 
Support during incident and crisis management of security incidents, and support with security investigations. 
Support during Interfaces with HPC and the ONR on certain aspects of security risk management compliance and assurance. 
Liaison and engagement with subject matter experts in the wider HPC security communities to ensure Security assessment keeps pace with developments that could present new security risks to the MEH Alliance. 
Actively assist in the development and maintenance of a robust security culture.

 

 

Qualifications & Experiences: 

  • The post holder will hold a recognised qualification in security risk management and have a comparable level of practical experience.
  • Experience in providing security risk management advice to aid to operations in a highly regulated environment. 
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience of assessing and advising on security threat actors, and advice on management of their methods of impact, and/or management of impact and consequences. 
  • Working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies with experience of identifying, defining, and categorising threat frequency, vulnerabilities, and consequence in relation to security risk. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong documentation writing skills.
