Site Plant and Consumables Coordinator - DEL20001

Accountabilities:    
The MEH Alliance (MEHA) is an alliance between the Client NNB, and the MEH JV comprising of; Altrad, Balfour Beatty, Cavendish Nuclear, Doosan Babcock & NG Bailey. The MEHA scope of works is the installation of the bulk Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC systems at HPC in Units 1 & Unit 2.

The MEH Alliance on Hinkley Point C, is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the role of Site Plant and Consumables Coordinator for the site at Bridgwater, Somerset.

 

 

Accountabilities are:

•    Lead Partner procurement activities for Plant , Tools, Equipment & Consumables (PTEC) and support other site procurement needs. 
•    Place and expedite purchase orders in line with MEH & Partner requirements.
•    Ensure Order Requisitions have been approved where necessary with input from Safety, HR, Security & Quality.
•    Resolve supplier issues such as; performance, delivery expediting, payments.
•    Contact suppliers and subcontractors to get quotes/pricing for ongoing, current and future Task Orders.
•    Expedite the issue of delivery notes from site/factories to assist in the GRN process.
•    Maintain log of Order Requisitions.
•    Assist the finance department with clearing ‘blocked’ invoices.
•    Assist in logistic timing when ordering materials and plant.
•    Engagement where necessary with key internal and external project stakeholders.
•    Compliance with MEHA procurement and nuclear safety processes.
•    Work to MEHA Partner governance requirements, and to meet NNB HPC Project and business objectives.
•    Complete reporting for MEHA management highlighting successes, blockers, mitigations, and forecast work. 


Key Deliverables:    
Key deliverables for this role are:

•    Be a point of contact for all PTEC related activity. Deliver the site PTEC needs.
•    Demonstrate value for money by applying ‘best for project’ procurement principles.
•    Support the Construction team in their development of standard product lists (baskets of goods). 
•    Complete tasks to agreed programme dates.
•    Complete procurement process steps, produce value for money justifications and develop robust contract award recommendations.
•    Complete Procurement work required to progress orders through both Client (Sage) and MEHA Partner company procurement systems. 
•    Identify and resolve any blockers, including holding other functions to account for the timely provision of information, and thus drive the achievement of programme milestones.
•    Maintain thorough records of procurement process steps undertaken and support reviews and audits as required.
•    Reporting to project management on subcontract procurement status, risks, and subcontractor performance.
•    Apply nuclear safety culture philosophy to all procurements.

•    Committed to continuous improvement and able to apply this to project working practices and procedures.
•    Can think laterally and flexibly to deliver solutions, with a ‘process driven’ focus to delivery.

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 
(in line with MEH Onboarding matrix)

•    5 years procurement experience in similar industry and role.
•    Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).
•    CITB HS&E for Managers and Professionals.
•    Conversant with all related legislation, codes, and standards.
•    Knowledge of CDM regulations

 

 

Additional Qualifications/ Experience:    
•    Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.
•    Experienced in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.


 Area/Building
The physical location of the role if site based – East Annex Building, Hinkley Point C , Somerset.

 

Scope
•    Scope: Procurement PTEC products in a construction project . 
•    Scale: Procurement of PTEC with annual spend of up to £15m.
•    Team: The role has no direct reports but will be expected to integrate within and manage the job scope as part of a multidisciplinary team
