We have a vacancy for an Layout and Access Coordination Engineer to join us on the MEH Alliance as part of the Hinkley Point C construction project.  The main purpose of the role is to plan and manage the workface access route requirements across the MEHA scope to support the construction programme.

Main Responsibilities:

To identify access and layout signage requirements as per the building classification and to liaise with the MEHA Logistics team to get the signage erected 
To plan and negotiate the access routes for future works to support the construction programme  
To liaise with Site Operations team to ensure building access routes are always available, and to assess alternative building access routes if the current route becomes unusable 
To ensure the access / egress routes within the buildings are not compromised and to raise any concerns or issues with building leads 
To work along with the MEHA Temporary Works and Access teams to co-ordinate access requirements that suits all contractors working within the building 
To ensure routing diagrams for access routes within the buildings and to the buildings stay current 
To share routing diagrams and information within the MEHA construction team and ensure that they are displayed on site to maintain collective awareness of the safe routes 
To coordinate the interface management of access as a part of the construction delivery requirements between multiple contractors 
To be accountable for an integrated delivery performance to the BCWP Management Lead 
To ensure all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • HNC or equivalent or above in a relevant construction or engineering discipline
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD to produce 2D drawings
  • Experience of using Navisworks to evaluate access / egress routes within Buildings 
  • Proven track record in a similar role on large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector
