Site Carpenter and Joiner

Site Carpenter and Joiner working with Altrad as part of the MEH Alliance on the Hinkley Point C Project.
Hourly Rate:
- £18.97ph
- £26.54ph for overtime rate A (1.4)
- £34.13ph for overtime rate B (1.8)
- £1.90ph bonus for all worked hours (This is a max of 10% but can change based on production factors for the entire MEH Alliance)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday (4-Day working week)
- 07:00 to 17:00 each day
- Potential working weekend (Fri-Sun)
Main Duties :
- Maintain
- Measuring, marking up, cutting, shaping, fitting and finishing timber
- Using a range of hand and power tools
- Installing but not limited to floor covering, floor protection, void covers, temporary supports and wall partitions
- Understanding and working with technical drawings
- Gaining knowledge of different types of wood and their uses
- Working in a workshop or on a construction site
- Carrying out jobs in dusty conditions or working outdoors in all weather and at height.
Health & Safety Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience :
- Professional Qualification level – NVQ2 in Site Carpentry and Joinery
- Communication skills – First class communication skills.
- Results orientation – Understanding the required results and focusing to achieve them.
- Drive and resilience – Determination to succeed in situations and adapt effectively to new situations.
- Planning and organisation – Working in a structured and thoughtful way whilst demonstrating initiative.
- Teamwork – Working closely with colleagues to achieve a common goal.
- Undertake individual working to a high level of attention to detail.
Additional Qualifications/ Experience:
- Willingness to be BPSS security cleared
- CSCS Health and Safety Test or CCNSG Safety Passport
