Opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor working with Bilfinger on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Main Responsibilities

 

  • Be responsible for management of commercial activities on site:
  • Ensure the timely submission of EWNs, CEs and other notifications under the Contract
  • Establish and maintain registers for contractual notifications
  • Prepare quotations for CE's once agreed in principle
  • Supports the planners with preparing contractual programmes
  • Support/manage Applications for Payment
  • Support the drafting and negotiation of subcontracts
  • Contract administration of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Supervise junior team members and support their continuous development
  • Supports Bilfinger's financial timetable and internal and client reporting requirements
  • Undertakes forecasting, CVRs and other project reporting requirements 
  • Optimises profitability - evidenced by improvements in margins of projects against budget
  • Minimise company's liabilities by providing support and advice to site team in respect of contractual obligations, notices and remedies
  • Supports valuation, application and invoicing process and the review and certification processes of subcontractor account


Role Qualifications


Essential 

 

  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in engineering, quantity surveying or similar


Desirable: 

 

  • Professional / post graduate commercial, business or management qualification. Membership of appropriate professional body


Mandatory to operate on site: 

 

  • CCNSG - Bilfinger can provide suitable training
