Senior Quantity Surveyor

Opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor working with Bilfinger on the Hinkley Point C Project,
Main Responsibilities
- Be responsible for management of commercial activities on site:
- Ensure the timely submission of EWNs, CEs and other notifications under the Contract
- Establish and maintain registers for contractual notifications
- Prepare quotations for CE's once agreed in principle
- Supports the planners with preparing contractual programmes
- Support/manage Applications for Payment
- Support the drafting and negotiation of subcontracts
- Contract administration of subcontractors and suppliers
- Supervise junior team members and support their continuous development
- Supports Bilfinger's financial timetable and internal and client reporting requirements
- Undertakes forecasting, CVRs and other project reporting requirements
- Optimises profitability - evidenced by improvements in margins of projects against budget
- Minimise company's liabilities by providing support and advice to site team in respect of contractual obligations, notices and remedies
- Supports valuation, application and invoicing process and the review and certification processes of subcontractor account
Role Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum HNC or equivalent in engineering, quantity surveying or similar
Desirable:
- Professional / post graduate commercial, business or management qualification. Membership of appropriate professional body
Mandatory to operate on site:
- CCNSG - Bilfinger can provide suitable training
