Senior Engineer

Contract: Permanent

 


Accountabilities:

 

  • Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership and support to the relevant Building Lead throughout the whole construction life cycle of their allocated area supporting a positive Nuclear Safety Culture. 
  • Accountable for Integrated delivery performance to the Building Lead 
  • Ensure all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations  
  • Provide input for progress reporting on all Construction activities within the EA. 
  • Coordination and interface management of construction delivery requirements between multiple discipline site operations.

 

 

Key Deliverables:

 

  • Ensure all construction activities are executed in line with relevant specifications.  
  • Ensure all access strategies have been developed for their relevant area and materials/plant are available to support the execution schedule 
  • Ensure productivity reviews are being carried out and reports are available 
  • Use of core experience & engineering skills to assess practicalities and risks associated with Construction activities. 
  • Ensure change management is recorded and implemented as per the  contract procedure 
  • Ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements, supporting provision of as built surveys and Life Time Records.

 

 

Qualifications 

 

  • Relevant engineering qualification  
  • Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering) 
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher) 
  • IOSH Managing safely  

 

 

Experience 

 

  • Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector. 
  • Experienced in delivering and operating at a management level, including experience working within Joint Ventures 
  • Experience in safely delivering large scale projects
  • Positive, can-do mentality 
  • Proven track record of success. 
  • Strong leader with collaborative nature 
  • A positive 'can do' mentality, self-motivated, setting the right behaviours. 
  • An ability to think laterally and flexibly to deliver solutions, and a 'process driven' focus to delivery. 
  • Strong communication skill with their team and external stakeholders.  
  • Has worked at a level, providing accountability for their actions. 
  • Can demonstrate previous record of success in their discipline. 
  • Experience in the management and coordination of multi-discipline construction installation methodologies on significant EPC contracts. 
  • A clear communicator, with clarity and positivity.
