Security Manager - Arabelle Solutions


The Security Manager at Hinkley Point C is employed by G4S but works for Arabelle Solutions, formerly GE Alstom Nuclear Systems. Arabelle Solutions specialise in nuclear activities relating to steam turbines.
The Security Manager is responsible for Security Guidance and Security Risk Management and supports the Arabelle Solutions Turbine contract at HPC, and will act as their security responsible person. The role is responsible for providing oversight and guidance to ensure that security compliance is maintained on the Arabelle Solutions contract, and to give clear guidance and support on all security-related matters. The guidance and compliance will extend to Arabelle Solutions associated T1 contractors and the subcontractors of their delivery programme.


Pay £59,370.95 per annum. (£27.11 per hour, hourly paid)

Weekly Hours 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday, office hours but flexibility is required as you may need to work early/late, including nights and weekends to support site construction activity


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Delivery

 

  • Ensure Health & Safety is at the forefront of service delivery – Zero harm
  • Production of all necessary Security Vulnerabilities Assessments (SVA’S) activities
  • Maintain Arabelle Solutions Security Risk Register
  • Production and maintenance of Arabelle Solutions Security Plan
  • Point of contact for Security Special Interest Group (SIG) between EDF HPC Security Team and Arabelle Solutions contract
  • Point of Contact and support of Security Investigations for Arabelle Solutions contract
  • Project manage tasks as and when required Project Support
  • Forge relationships and influencing behaviours on all security related matters at all Arabelle Solutions contract activities
  • Identifying any vulnerabilities within their present security arrangements and producing security recommendations to mitigate against any adversarial intrusion/interference
  • Drive forward a positive security culture
  • Maintain close communications with all Arabelle Solutions stakeholders for all security related
  • matters
  • Organise and lead on Security training and exercises as required for all Arabelle Solutions activities
  • Review Arabelle Solutions security risks, processes, and procedures for incident response Education
  • Act as the “Security Champion” for Arabelle Solutions Contract
  • Educate non-security professionals on specific threats to their work sites and how to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities
  • Develop a positive security culture within the AD T1 Contracted Partners and mentor those with a key role in mitigating adversarial risk within their designated areas of responsibility
  • Advise Arabelle Solutions stakeholders on the HPC SMR Methodology, the HPC Site Security Risk Assessment Tool and HPC Site Generic Adversarial Threat Assessment Matrix
  • Demonstrate and educate the HPC Security and EP team on how the Arabelle Solutions Security Manager and members of the Arabelle Solutions team can assist with security incidents at HPC Crime Reduction
  • Engage and collaborate with the Security Delivery Manager to ensure that the best security practices are identified and adopted in the Arabelle Solutions work area
  • Ensure there is a consistent approach to security awareness at all Arabelle Soultions work areas and that the advice given is aligned with the HPC Site Security Manager’s strategic intent
  • Mutual Support to Site Operations Risk Managers
  • Liaise and support with the HPC Risk Management Team, working closely with the Site Operations and Construction Risk Manager to provide a proportionate security solution for the protection of assets at all GE activities; to mitigate the threat of any adversarial interference which could have a direct impact on the HPC construction activities


Educational Requirements/Qualifications

 

  • L4 Security Risk Management (preferred but not essential)


Preferred Experience

 

  • A security professional with prior experience of Critical National Infrastructure or large scale construction projects
  • Project Management experience within construction projects (preferred but not essential) 
  • Thorough understanding of H&S requirements
  • Previous experience of working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience of working within an ISO 28000 Supply Chain Security Management. (Preferred but not essential)
