The Project Manager will support the Site Project Manager in delivering defined work packages on Hinkley Point C, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution in line with nuclear standards. They will oversee daily site activities, manage interfaces with NNB and other Tier 1 Contractors, and drive progress against schedule, cost, and quality. The role requires strong leadership, disciplined planning, and the ability to proactively resolve issues/concerns etc. in a complex, highly regulated environment. 

 
•    Accountable for the delivery of the project to scope, schedule, cost and quality; 
•    Delivering the project safely, ensuring that all HSE (including CDM) requirements are met; 
•    Delivering the work as discussed with the Site Project Manager concerning engineering, fabrication and installation activities on site; 
•    Manage day-to-day delivery of assigned work packages across multiple areas of the HPC site; 
•    Drive readiness for installation activities-materials, equipment, access, permits, prerequisites. 
•    Ensuring the project scope is accurately defined, estimated and changes to scope controlled throughout the project; 
•    Managing the performance of key suppliers and subcontractors; 
•    Ownership of the baseline schedule and control estimate, ensuring the project integrity is maintained with any agreed changes; 
•    Monitor progress against schedule, identify blockages, and escalate constraints early. 
•    Ownership of project progress reporting including the % complete, reported actuals, and agreed changes;. 
•    Ensuring adequate project controls are employed for risk management and change control, minutes of meetings etc; 
•    Ensuring company and project quality systems are effectively applied throughout the project, and raising concerns where omission or error is seen; 
•    Act as the primary interface with NNB, MEH Alliance partners, and other Tier 1/Tier 2 contractors for your work areas ensuring high levels of satisfaction are maintained; 
•    Ensure timely communication of issues, dependencies, and constraints to internal and external stakeholders. 
•    Undertaking any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Project Manager; 
•    Undertake development required to SQEP in the role under the site licence conditions; 
•    Be prepared to act in succession as directed. 
•    This position is based on site full time Monday to Friday


Requirements:


•    Experience of delivering engineering projects in a process related industry. 
•    Effective leadership & influencing skills. 
•    Experience of delivering complex projects. 
•    Proven delivery experience within high regulation environments such as nuclear, defence, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals, or similarly controlled sectors. 
•    Direct management of a full multidiscipline project team. 
•    Managing third party vendors and subcontractors.  
•    Managing Customer interface and relationship. 
•    Commercial awareness and contract management.  
•    Awareness of relevant regulations/standards e.g. CDM, DSEAR/ATEX, ASME.  
•    Good understanding of the Nuclear Safety Culture. 
•    Understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3 or NEC4) and their practical implications in delivery environments. 
•    Experience supporting or managing contract change, including Early Warnings, Compensation Events, RFIs, and variation claims. 
•    Strong technical understanding of mechanical installation processes
•    Direct working knowledge of NNB governance processes is advantageous
