Job Responsibilities

 

    Follow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area.
    Planning and scheduling of scaffolding operations, including the determination of the equipment and required manpower.
    Ensure that all scaffold structures are erected, modified and disassembled in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
    Directs and supervises scaffold erectors to ensure work is performed effectively, safely and in a timely manner.
    Ensure scaffolding is stable and secure by inspecting and adjusting or repairing scaffolding on a regular basis.
    Work with other construction professionals to ensure that scaffolding is built according to project needs.
    Maintains accurate records of scaffolding inventory and ensures proper maintenance and maintenance of equipment.
    Provides training and instruction to scaffold workers to ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
    Responsible for prioritizing of the works onsite for the scaffolding team, including the allocation of the available manpower and material resources to most effectively serve the access requirements of the project.
    Shall ensure that a "zero harm" approach is taken in relation to all his acts and omissions in relation to the services and the project. Acknowledges that due to the nature of the project, nuclear safety and security are of paramount importance.
    Agrees to comply with any rule, instruction or requirement of the Company in relation to the services which the company determines, in his sole and absolute discretion, is necessary in order for the company to comply with his obligations under the nuclear site license.
    Housekeeping of the work areas; collection, segregation and disposal of wastes as required; removal of unused materials and clear the work floors to eliminate/reduce slipping or tripping risks in your work area.
    Safe use, protection, storage and care of general maintenance products, hand and power tools

 


You must: 

 

    Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do); 
    Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare; 
    Follow the training you have received when using any work items your employer has given you.

 

 

General Conditions

 

    Minimum 5 years of experience in large scale, international - industrial projects in scaffolding systems.
    To have strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team of scaffold erectors and inspectors.
    Hold CISRS Advanced Card enrolment onto ILM Level 3 Award C&BE plus completion of Nuclear Unit or CMI Level 3 or Nuclear Engineering Construction Supervisor (NECS) + LATS or SSSTS or IOSH Managing Safely                                       
    Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS)
    Hold or Can achieve CCNSG Safety Passport 
    Shall be able to pass Safety Critical Medical test.
