Room Survey Network (RSN) Senior Surveyor 
The MEH Alliance - Cavendish Nuclear 
Hinkley Point C 


Accountabilities:     
1.    Undertake control survey tasks both horizontally and vertically.
2.    Ensure all surveying activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations    
3.    Provide input for progress reporting on surveying activities within the Erection Area 
4.    Enforcing the instructed methods of surveying and monitoring as defined in the survey protocol.
5.    Ensuring safe practices during all survey based operations around site in liaison with the site based supervisor.
6.    To report any issues, concerns, or observations to the MEH Alliance Surveying Lead 
7.    Ensure all surveying activities are executed in line with relevant specifications 
8.    Establish survey control points using traversing techniques.
9.    Establish new level datums through traditional levelling and tape drops.
10.    Monitor survey control networks to indicate building settlement.
11.    To attend any relevant site meetings with project stakeholders  
12.    Oversee a team of surveyors who will install survey control networks on site.


Key Deliverables:     
1.    Ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements 
2.    Provide Survey Control Networks enabling the setting out of equipment.  
3.    Analysis of existing control networks.
4.    Produce Survey Reports and communicate these to the client.
5.    Use of core experience & surveying skills to assess practicalities and dimensional control associated with surveying activities. 
6.    Manage a team to ensure all surveying activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations.
7.    To provide quality control and quality assurance for any survey activity relating to the installation or densification of survey control networks.
8.    Update the Survey Lead on progression of works related to the installation of the Room Survey Network.
9.    Provide advice to site survey teams.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience  
(in line with MEH Onboarding matrix)   
 
1.    HND or above in a Surveying or Engineering related field or substantial experience 
2.    Experience in the use of survey equipment (Total Station, digital level) and the production of survey reports. 
3.    Strong Starnet experience is essential.
4.    Experience with plummet lasers and tape drops.
5.    Conversant with all related legislation, codes, and standards. 
6.     Knowledge of CDM regulations 
7.     Experience in MS Office - Excel, Word 


Additional Qualifications/ Experience:     
1.    7 years’ experience as an onsite surveyor  
2.    5 years’ experience managing survey teams.
3.    Experienced in working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment.
