Rebar Scanning Co-ordinator
The MEH Alliance - Cavendish Nuclear 
Hinkley Point C 


Accountabilities:    
•    Coordinate all works relating to the scanning of rebar depth and position.
•    Provide technical advice on concrete condition and analysis of rebar position/depth reports.
•    Responsible for the creation of workflows to support RFIs raised if rebar position clashes with post installed anchor plate position.
•    To ensure the integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety of post installed anchor plates to enable compliant defect free handover.
•    Coordination with the Principle Designer and Principle Contractor ensuring regular flow of information to comply with meeting the requirements of CDM.
•    Responsibility for the implementation, and development of risk assessments, method statements and procedures for all works relating to the installation of post installed anchor plates.
•    Interrogation of 3D model and Information Modelling.
•    Support the Engineering Lead and contribute to design / construction reviews.
•    Liaise with the Survey and Building Leads in relation to work flow.
•    Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that the business stream is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards


Key Deliverables:    
•    2D CAD Drawings
•    Technical Reports
•    Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Procedures

 

 

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience 
(as per MEH matrix)

•    Bsc Civil Engineering
•    Experience as a section engineer on a RC project.
•    Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, 2D, and 3D.  
•    Proficient in the use of drawing set-up in accordance with national standards and best practice guidelines.
•    Proficient in the interrogation of 3D models.
•    Ability to proactively work and contribute as part of a large team.
•    Effective skills in planning, organising and prioritising personal workload.
•    Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and other parties 
•    Knowledge of the basic principles, terms and procedures of engineering.
•    Working knowledge of drawing revision and issuing protocols.
•    Experience in interpreting basic sketches, plans and specifications.
•    Previous working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures.
