Radiography Barrier Patroller - Onsite

This commitment is delivered by an experienced and highly competent workforce of over 4,500 employees operating from 14 offices in strategic industrial hubs, upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality.


Rotation: 2 weeks on 2 weeks off

 
Main Purpose:


The Radiography Barrier Patroller is responsible for patrolling radiography barriers.  They will ensure that works on will be carried out in a safe and efficient manner. All duties will be carried out in accordance to the company procedures.

 
Main responsibilities

 

  • Assist the radiography team with the erection of RCA (Radiation Controlled Area)
  • Use of radiation monitoring equipment (training will be provided) Ensure the equipment is in good working order and calibrated (training will be provided)
  • Ensure the RCA is patrolled and access is restricted to non-authorised personnel.
  • Constant communication with the radiography team and report if unauthorised personnel attempt to enter the RCA
  • Stop/Approach suspicious individual attempting to enter the RCA, ask why and report to the NDT Supervisor immediately
  • Attend and play an active role in daily activity briefings and point of work risk assessments
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the site management and supervision

Qualifications/Experience: 

 

  • CCNSG Safety Passport - Desirable, if not will be provided to successful applicant
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Previously worked on a construction/nuclear Site - Desirable
  • Attending additional onsite training to support the role
