Quantity Surveyor

Turnbull Infrastructure & utilities

Hinkley Point C 

 

As a Quantity Surveyor you will support the day-to-day requirements of the Commercial team across various disciplines across the Business. You will be responsible for supporting the Project Managers with sound commercial advice and support.

 

 

Duties of the Quantity Surveyor include:

  • ensuring all reporting procedures are adhered to
  • managing the relationships with our client commercial teams to ensure a constructive relationship is maintained throughout the contract period
  • ensuring commercial risks are identified, analysed, and managed
  • supply chain management to include drafting and issuing of NEC3 TSC subcontracts
  • compiling monthly CVR reports
  • inputting into application and invoicing process
  • maintaining good relationships with the client
  • compiling forecasts and attend forecast meetings
  • supporting Contracts Managers and operational teams by offering sound commercial advice on projects
  • experience of utilising CEMAR contract management
  • assisting with the development of the departmental Commercial Strategy
  • managing projects to maximise opportunities and minimise risk.

What you'll do

What you'll need

To be successful, you'll need:

  • excellent understanding of NEC forms of contracts
  • excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Packages
  • the ability to manage multiple scheme
  • excellent commercial awareness
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • the ability to work well under pressure, and to deadlines
  • excellent organisational skills
  • experience working within construction sector is essential
  • excellent communication skills
  • the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
