Purpose of the role:


A Quality Systems Manager is sought to join the Quality Team at BYLOR undertaking the Main Civil Works at Hinkley Point C.


Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities:


• The Quality Systems Manager will support the Quality Leader in the set-up, deployment, management and training of Digital Quality Systems across the organisation, both internally and for its T2 Supply Chain.
• Understanding of development of any other digital systems.
• Act as the business owner of the systems and be the main interface between internal delivery teams / Tier 2 Supply Chain and the Quality Team, to ensure the teams are prepared to go to work and correctly use of the digital quality systems available.
• Responsible for specifying and producing reporting from the digital quality systems to internal senior management / client.
• Understanding of quality documentation such as Inspection and Test Plans, Procedures, Lifetime Quality Records.
• Being able to translate / interpret quality documentation and provide a correct framework to be built in digital quality systems.
• Understanding of engineering challenges on large-scale construction projects and how this affects production of quality records (in areas such as reinforced concrete, welding, steelwork, painting etc.).
• Ensuring guidance documents and procedures for the digital quality system are up to date.
• Be able to prioritise the workload and deliver as per the requirements.
• The Quality Systems Manager will have management responsibilities for the admin staff who are doing the bulk of work and set up for the digital quality systems.
• The Quality Systems Manager will have management responsibilities for the system analysts who are developing data visualisation dashboards.
• Day-to-day tasks typically involve leading meetings with internal delivery teams / T2, meetings with the client and interfacing with senior management, coordinating the staff, management of digital quality systems.

• Ensure that teams receive the necessary assistance and appropriate processes are being followed.
• Enjoy working in a team and work well with others.


TECHNOLOGY / IT SKILLS


You will:


• Be an SME in Digital Quality Processes
• Be comfortable learning new software, and showing others how to use it
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Be(come) familiar with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Be(come) familiar with Python (optional).
• Be(come) familiar with Data Visualisation - Qlik Sense/PowerBI preferred


DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


• Minimum 5 years of experience on large scale projects
• Previous experience in information management / digital quality systems
• Existing knowledge of quality documentation such as Inspection and Test Plans
• Experience in interfacing with Senior Management
• Problem solving and logic-based troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of customers
