Purpose of the role:


A Quality Systems Assistant is sought to join the Quality Team at BYLOR undertaking the Main Civil Works at Hinkley Point C.


Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities:


To support BYLOR’s ambition to work paperless and move from document-focused to data-focused ways of working,
To support the Quality Systems team in the set-up, deployment and training of Digital Quality Systems across the organisation, both internally and for its T2 Supply Chain.
Create, update and manage project records templates using digital forms and processes.
Engage with internal delivery teams and subcontractors to guide digitisation of existing paper-based processes and offer continuous support in deployment of the platform. 


Day-to-day tasks typically involve:


Administer and manage user access rights, roles, and permissions within the digital platform
Processing email requests and coordinating key project input data (e.g., ECS codes for Pours)
Deliver in-person and remote training sessions to users on system navigation, form usage, and workflow processes
Assist in the design and testing of digital form templates and automated workflows to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions
Maintain internal records of training sessions, user onboarding status, and document revisions
You will receive initial training and ongoing support from the Quality Systems team responsible for the Digital Quality Systems.

You will:


Have excellent communications skills and be able to provide training and guidance to people from all backgrounds and all levels of seniority, from site workers to director level
Ensure that teams receive the necessary assistance and appropriate processes are being followed
Enjoy working in a team, and work well with others


TECHNOLOGY / IT SKILLS


You will:


Be familiar with tablets and mobile technology
Be comfortable learning new software, and showing others how to use it
Be proficient in Microsoft Excel


DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE


Previous experience in information management / document control
Previous experience on a construction project
Existing knowledge of a digital records system or document control system
Problem solving and logic-based troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated ability to work successfully with a diverse group of customers
