Opportunity for a Quality Inspector working with H&E Engineering on the Hinkley Point C Project


H&E Engineering Limited is a Tier 1 contractor of Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, TA5 1UD.  We are a small, professional and motivated team.  If you feel that you have the right experience, qualifications and skills - we would love to hear from you.


The key responsibilities of Quality Inspector lie in taking overall control of all aspects regarding Engineering and Industry Qualification for H&E company and also for projects during construction, which includes but not limited to the following:

 

  • Ensure all activities on site follow the drawings, procedure and specification and standard.
  • Monitor all inspection activities. 
  • Check incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
  • Approve in-process products
  • Ensure compliance to the contract quality assurance plan.
  • Undertake project work in support of quality department on topics such as NDT /dimension reports etc.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers on Quality concerns
  • Ensure compliance to customer and product specifications through rigorous inspections.
  • Monitor sub-contractors.
  • Responsible for being welding / RT co-ordinator.


Qualifications/Experience : 

 

  • CSWIP Level 2 (3.1) Welding Inspection
  • PCN L2 Dye Pen
  • CCNSG / HS&E MAPS
  • PCN L2 RT/Radiographic Interpretation 
  • SMSTS (Optional)
  • Confined Space Medium Risk (Optional)
  • Working at Height (Optional)
  • IPAF (Optional)
  • Knowledge of applicable Quality Regulations.
  • 3 years Quality Inspector (or related) working experience in highly regulated industry.
  • Highly organised with attention to details.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including influencing and presenting.
  • Results focused with the ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
