Opportunity for a Quality Engineer working with Mactech on the Hinkley C Project,

 

Location: HPC, Somerset
Salary: £450 per day via UMBRELLA


Main Duties : 

 

  • Support development and update of Project Quality Control Plans
  • Monitor implementation of quality contractual arrangements
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), including technical analysis
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and priority management
  • Review and accept Lifetime Quality Records
  • Perform manufacturing surveillance activities
  • Monitor inspection points and quality documentation
  • Support quality audits and resolve findings
  • Interface between Manufacturing Delivery Team and stakeholders
  • Produce quality documentation and regular reporting


Qualifications/Experience : 

 

  • HNC/HND or degree in relevant science/engineering subject
  • Understanding of Quality Management in complex organizations
  • Experience with international standards (GSR Part 2, ISO9001)
  • Nuclear sector experience, particularly in new build
  • Knowledge of QA/QC codes and standards
  • Experience in welding and NDT/NDE
