Opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Governance and Learning) working with Dalkia on the Hinkley Point C Project,
Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.
All roles on the project require key behaviours which support the Zero Harm objective, a questioning attitude, and drive to uphold the standards of safety and quality required by this prestigious project. A committed strong work ethic is essential at all levels.
All candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and experience where possible directly related to the criteria required for the role. It is acknowledged that previous Nuclear based experience will not always be possible, as such supporting with project research and how individual skills may be transferable will be important.

As Quality Engineer You will support the Quality Manager in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met.
Key Deliverables:
- Assist in managing the Quality Management System (QMS) of the project according to the project policy, contract requirements and Dalkia PDS
- Ensure the communication, training and implementation of the QMS within the project team.
- Monitor and measure the efficiency of the QMS and ensure improvement of the QMS throughout the project life
- Schedule, plan and deliver internal audits in line with the annual audit plan, taking full responsibility for individual assignments from planning through to the issuing of audit reports
- Produce a comprehensive audit report on findings from each audit highlighting trends and recommending improvements
- Follow up on outstanding audit actions for implementation and closure
- Report outcome of Audit to Team Managers, and Senior Managers
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and solutions in collaborative way
- Support and deliver Nuclear Safety Culture training for Dalkia Personnel
- Facilitate lessons learned and improvement activities including delivery of specific quality related training
- Assisting and supporting the Quality Team to achieve individual and team objectives and defined performance indicators
- Management of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience :
- Qualifications in relevant discipline, HND/Degree (or equivalent experience for role).
- Knowledge of working to UK and international standards and codes of practice for the UK Nuclear sector.
- CCNSG or CSCS
- Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).
- Internal Auditor or Assessor Qualification (ISO9001:2015 standard)
Additional Qualifications/ Experience:
- Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.
- Data analysis and management
- Continuous improvement and process mapping
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Training Delivery
- Nuclear Safety Culture knowledge
