Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.

All candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and experience where possible directly related to the criteria required for the role. It is acknowledged that previous Nuclear based experience will not always be possible, as such supporting with project research and how individual skills may be transferable will be important.
Quality Coordinator plays a pivotal role in upholding these high standards by ensuring that every aspect of our nuclear operation meets rigorous quality expectations. The role supports both operational and regulatory activity, working closely with the Quality Manager/s and internal teams to maintain high standards across all Quality activity. Experience in quality assurance, assessment, education or regulated environments is beneficial, but we welcome applicants with transferable skills and a passion for quality.

Accountabilities (What you are responsible for, ongoing obligations):
As a Quality Coordinator, you will support the Quality Manager/s in regarding:
• Participate and facility the Nuclear Safety and Quality Champion network within the organisation
• Provides day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Quality team.
• Ensures smooth execution of quality-related activities, including documentation, scheduling, and training support.
• Acts as a central point for tracking quality team’s activities and maintaining associated documentation and records.
Key Deliverables (What you must produce or achieve, specific results):
As a Quality Coordinator, key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, monitor and changes related to company Integrated Management System (IMS) and procedures.
- Change Control
- Coordinate and track changes to the management system, ensuring proper approvals, version control, and communication.
- Facilitate change review boards or equivalent governance forums.
- Ensure change impacts are assessed and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Auditing
- Support planning, execution, and follow up of internal audits and supplier audits.
- Assist in preparing for external audits from certification bodies, regulators, and clients (e.g., ISO audits, nuclear regulatory inspections).
- Track the progress of audit findings, corrective actions, and ensure timely closure.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance quality culture, processes, and system performance.
- Facilitate the improvement initiatives, root-cause analysis, and lessons learned activities.
- Promote best practices across the organisation.
- Reporting & KPIs
- Assist with reports on quality related KPIs and performance metrics.
- Prepare dashboards, summaries, and presentations for management review.
- Support data-driven decision-making.
- Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison between project teams members, IMS process owners, external key contacts and clients.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across departments.
- Support training and awareness activities related to the IMS and quality processes.
- Support preparation of quality related presentations, reports, and training materials
- Monitor and track the new starter onboarding training session regarding quality and IMS topics.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint etc
• Basic knowledge and understanding regarding Quality Management System and Quality philosophy.
• Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC), ideally in a quality regulated or nuclear environment (not mandatory as training will be given).
• Understand the concepts and applications of problem solving and improvement tools.
• Capability in producing, tracking and analysing data and information. Manage KPI tracking and reporting.
• Degree or HND/A-level, BTEC, NVQ or equivalent in Quality Management or a related engineering field preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail.
Additional Qualifications/Requirements Experience:
• Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 19443) and nuclear quality standards (e.g., NQA 1).
• Level of understanding of nuclear safety principles and regulatory frameworks desirable.
• Experience supporting audits, compliance activities, or management system governance.
• Proficiency with digital tools such as SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage documentation systems and digital workflows.
• Security checks, BPSS clearance minimum.
