Purpose of the role:


To support the Quality Manager (PTLS SSW) in overseeing the implementation of the quality management arrangements, measuring its effectiveness, and supporting the improvement projects required to optimise effective quality arrangements. 


Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities:


Summary of job description:


QC surveillance inspectors are required to attend site day to day completing Hold/Witness point inspections Including but not limited to (in line with ITP requirements):

 
•    Dimensional testing, 
•    cleanliness inspections, 
•    Visual testing, 
•    Penetrant testing, 
•    MPI Testing, 
•    UT/PAUT testing


Inspectors are expected to complete Reports thoroughly and competently ensuring all requirements are met. Industry standards are to be always followed ensuring the final quality of the product. 


From time-to-time Inspectors will have to enter confined spaces wearing RPE masks & associated PPE and maybe required to work at height using harness’s and associated equipment. 


Key Skills & Competencies 


Requirements:


•    CSWIP 3.1/PCN L2 Visual – Minimum requirements.
•    PCN L2 – Minimum Requirement for NDT inspections PT, MT, UT, (Phased Array – Desirable.)
•    Preferably documented hands-on welding experience with indentured apprenticeship (Desirable)
•    Previous Welding/NDT experience 
•    Good knowledge & understanding of ITP’s & requirements.
•    Ability to follow procedures / work to approved drawings, good knowledge of industry standards & completing inspection reports in a timely manner. 
•    Work within a busy team environment on a challenging project with stringent deadlines.
•    Good Health & Safety practices.
