Purpose of the role:
Provide support to the Delivery Team to develop and maintain a comprehensive programme of works to successfully manage Tier 2 Contractor undertaking the fabrication and assembly of the Unit 2 HR/HK Pools within the on-site bunkers, followed by final assembly works once in the Nuclear Island at HPC.
Programme development and management of Nuclear Pools & Liners scope of work. Day to day management and development of project plan and associated resources and equipment to ensure successful execution of the project.
Key responsibilities and specific accountabilities:
Bylor are the Tier 1 Contractor responsible for the works under the Civils Contract. Works associated with the Unit 2 Pools, are subcontracted to a Tier 2 Contractor. The direct works are performed by the Tier 2’s personnel, your role shall include:
- Support the Delivery Team through the development and day to day management of the project plan.
- Identify critical path activities and provide information to support project decision making process.
- Critical analysis of resource requirements and regular reporting to the Project Manager.
- Produce KPIs to monitor ongoing performance of the various work fronts including production and Quality.
- Co-ordinate with Bylor civils teams to understand and integrate overall project priorities.
- Maintain good working relationships with our partners ensuring any actions are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
- You will ensure they are organised in every aspect of the works ensuring resources are sufficient for the works, are present and being adequately supervised.
Qualification Essential skills & knowledge:
Minimum Qualifications:
- ONC/HNC in Engineering preferred
- Professional Qualification in Project Planning/Project Control
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working within a project planning role.
- Previous experience of welding and fabrication within a regulated environment advantageous
Job-Specific Skills:
- Multi-disciplined technical knowledge relevant to a manufacturing and construction environment
- Familiar with Bylor reporting procedures
- Capable of producing and interpreting analytical data to assist project decision making
- Strong communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of managing 3rd party multi-disciplined teams on behalf of Client.
Job Knowledge Skills:
- Familiar Planning and Project Reporting
- Hands on user of project management software
- Position involves production and maintenance of project plans utilising tools such as MS project and Primavera P6.
- Critical analysis of activity durations and resource requirements to achieve programme.
- Ability to communicate, coach and organise third party vendors/contractors to enable safe and on-time delivery of assigned work scopes.
