Project Manager - Temporary & Enabling Works

Hinkley Point C 

 

 

We have a vacancy for a Project Manager to join our Site Wide Construction team on the MEH alliance, working on the Hinkley Point C construction project.

The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the identification and development of services required for contractor mobilisation to site; scope capture for enabling services; including Temporary Power, Lighting, HVAC/LEV, Access (Scaffolding/Temporary Works), Lifting and Logistical Support.

Responsibilities:

  • To collate and record project data and report on project progress on a weekly basis.  
  • To sanction project change and risks through the planning (cost model - including well defined scope inclusions & exclusions) and delivery schedules ahead of governance. 
  • To provide Project Briefing at Governance meetings to stakeholders & budget holders. 
  • Monitoring Project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.  
  • To develop Project Controls; write & gain approval for project procedures, ensure compliance, change control & Client standards are met. 
  • To prioritise workloads within the team.  
  • Directly reports to the Site Wide Project Lead. 
  • Be instrumental in the identification of Tier 1 Contractor requirements and scope capture exercises. 
  • To define SCS project inclusions & exculsions as per contract documentation. 
  • Deliver the planning, forecasting, design & installation of temporary enabling services. 
  • Generation & ownership of project schedule. 
  • Generation of weekly report on planned & actuals.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • HNC qualified in a project, technical or construction related discipline or demonstrable relevant experience.
  • CCNSG Safety Passport or HSE MAPS 
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH (advantageous)

 

Experience: 

  • Sound understanding of Temporary Works & Permit to Work procedures in Construction. 
  • Experience in a construction/project engineering roe, ideally in the nuclear or other regulated industry.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office including solid understanding in Excel, Project & Primavera software
