Opportunity for a Project HSE Supervisor working with ENKA UK on the Hinkley Point C Project,


Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure that the Employer’s, Contractor’s and ENKA’s Overall HSSE Policy is followed.
  • Coordinate area-specific HSS Management System, making adjustments as necessary in response to area specific requirements.
  • Identify actions required to implement HSS training, environment, security, emergency response and occupational health services plans within construction area.
  • Advise the Construction team on HSS issues.
  • Administer area HSS recordkeeping system.
  • Participate in RAMS and attend crew POWRA meetings, etc.
  • Monitor compliance to project, COMPANY and regulatory requirements.
  • Initiate corrective action through line supervisor or Project HSS Management System refinement.
  • Interface with area construction management, line supervision and subcontractors on HSS issues. 
  • Establish a system to ensure all actions identified during planned inspections, incident investigations and HSS communications are tracked to completion.
  • Conduct area compliance inspections, provide feedback to area supervision.
  • Assist in incident investigations, regulatory compliance audits, project health surveys, and insurance audits.
  • Shall ensure that a "zero harm" approach is taken in relation to all his acts and omissions in relation to the services and the project. Acknowledges that due to the nature of the project, nuclear safety and security are of paramount importance.
  • Agrees to comply with any rule, instruction or requirement of the Company in relation to the services which the company determines, in his sole and absolute discretion, is necessary in order for the company to comply with his obligations under the nuclear site license.
  • Safe use, protection, storage and care of PPE, hand and power tools, etc. that has been assigned as part of your activities


You must: 

 

  • Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do); 
  • Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare; 
  • Follow the training you have received when using any work items your employer has given you.


General Conditions

 

  • Speaks English fluently.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • Preferable have international certificates in Safety. 
  • Have minimum 5 years of industrial projects experience.
  • Having NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate.
  • Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS)
  • Hold or Can achieve CCNSG Safety Passport 
  • Ready to work in a diverse multinational environment
