Bridgwater – Hinkley Point C

Full Time Permanent Position

 

Summary

NG Bailey are proud to be involved in the Hinkley Point C project based in Bridgwater, Somerset.  This is the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes.

 

NG Bailey, the UK’s leading independent engineering and services business, are proud to be part of the MEH Alliance, a joint venture to deliver the mechanical, electrical and HVAC installation for the project.

 

As part of recent growth on this project, we have a new vacancy for a Project Coordinator to ensure the efficient booking of vehicles to site to ensure the receipt, dispatch, and tracking of goods and materials across the project site, maintaining accurate records and facilitating smooth logistics operations in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • Oversee the receipt of incoming goods including plant, tools, equipment, consumables, and all permanent materials.
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes, reporting discrepancies to relevant departments.
  • Provide all stakeholders with details of equipment received on site and its delivery location.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation (delivery notes, packing lists, invoices).
  • Liaise with logistics providers and transport companies to arrange timely dispatch.
  • Maintain records of goods movements (receipts, issues, transfers, returns).
  • Coordinate with procurement, off-site logistics, material controllers, on-site materials movements teams, building teams, and configuration areas C2, B6, and K23 for efficient goods movement.
  • Book delivery slots using the Fulcrum Booking System and the HPC VMS system, ensuring alignment with site logistics and delivery schedules.
  • Arrange escort vehicles and manage special unloading requirements where necessary.
  • Provide escalation support to DMS operators for haulier and contractor interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle timing restrictions, routing, tracking, and delivery parameters.
     

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Prior experience in a similar role preferably within construction, engineering or logistics.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems and processes, especially proficiency in using computerised systems to track inventory, generate reports and manage stock levels.
  • A good understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, purchasing, logistics and the hire industry would be advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Major Project Experience, specifically on nuclear or working in alliance agreement projects would be beneficial
     

 

Please note this role does not offer any travel or subsistence allowances and so applicants must be based in the local area to be considered.

Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
