Procurement Manager

As a Procurement Manager, you will lead and contribute to the day-to-day procurement activities of the site operation. Your responsibilities will include expediting purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers and distributors, and supporting the Centralised Wilson James procurement team in implementing the agreed Procurement Evolution Roadmap. You'll play a key role in transforming our procurement service to align with overall business strategy and targets.


In this role, you will focus on delivering a seamless service to the business while managing supplier performance and multiple KPIs. Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders are essential.

 

Qualifications:
CITB HSE Test (Manager & Professional standard).

 

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
  • A good standard of education in Maths, English and IT.
  • Prior experience of working within a busy office environment and under pressure.
  • Ability to manage own time effectively, prioritising tasks when required, multitasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of all MS Office packages.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with blue and white collar.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Desirable
  • A working knowledge of SAP.
  • A working knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Member of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply or working towards.

  • Salary starting from £60,900 (depending on experience). 
  • 8.5% bonus.
  • Travel and lodge allowance.
  • Working 9 days across 2 weeks (Monday - Friday on week one then Monday - Thursday on week two).
